Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan, lining the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients alternately with the milk until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before glazing with powdered sugar mixed with fresh orange juice.
