- 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
- 12 oz sirloin or ribeye steak
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or basil, chopped
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Lower the heat and add minced garlic and honey to the skillet; stir until fragrant (about 1 minute). Pour in soy sauce and red pepper flakes; let simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Slice the steak into thin strips, then toss it together with the cooked pasta in the skillet until well coated.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or basil before serving.
