Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9 x 9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat together softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla extract, almond extract, and cream cheese; mix until well combined.
- Gradually add flour and baking powder until you form a thick dough. Avoid overmixing.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden on top. Allow to cool.
- For the frosting, beat softened butter with powdered sugar and milk until smooth; add vanilla extract.
- Once cooled, frost the bars generously and add sprinkles if desired. Cut into squares and serve.
