Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- In another bowl, combine pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter (or vegetable oil), and vanilla.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry until just combined. Pour into an 8-inch casserole dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and chopped pecans; sprinkle over the batter.
- Carefully pour very hot water over everything in the dish without stirring.
- Bake for about 40 minutes or until set in the middle. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
