  • 50ml lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • Olives
  • Sweet chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Clean the octopus by removing the beak and eyes, then rinse under cold water.
  2. In a large pot of boiling water (without salt), add parsley and bay leaf. Dip tentacles in boiling water multiple times before submerging fully. Simmer for 40 minutes until tender.
  3. After cooling in its own water, pat dry and separate tentacles from the head.
  4. Marinate octopus pieces in a mixture of chopped garlic, olive oil, and pepper for at least one hour.
  5. Prepare a sauce by combining lemon zest, capers, parsley, olives, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  6. Grill marinated octopus pieces on a hot grill for about 3 minutes per side until nicely charred.
  7. Drizzle with sauce and garnish with chili flakes before serving.
