Ingredients
- 2 octopus (approx. 500g each)
- Fresh parsley
- Bay leaf
- Garlic
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 50ml lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons capers
- Olives
- Sweet chili flakes
Instructions
- Clean the octopus by removing the beak and eyes, then rinse under cold water.
- In a large pot of boiling water (without salt), add parsley and bay leaf. Dip tentacles in boiling water multiple times before submerging fully. Simmer for 40 minutes until tender.
- After cooling in its own water, pat dry and separate tentacles from the head.
- Marinate octopus pieces in a mixture of chopped garlic, olive oil, and pepper for at least one hour.
- Prepare a sauce by combining lemon zest, capers, parsley, olives, olive oil, and lemon juice.
- Grill marinated octopus pieces on a hot grill for about 3 minutes per side until nicely charred.
- Drizzle with sauce and garnish with chili flakes before serving.
