Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round or springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar, then pour into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Arrange pecan halves on top.
- In a larger bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients alternately with milk until smooth.
- Spoon the batter over the pecan layer in the pan and spread evenly. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow cooling in the pan for about 10–15 minutes before flipping onto a serving plate.
