Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13×9-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (5-7 minutes). Add vanilla extract and eggs one at a time while mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the creamed mixture alternating with milk until fully combined.
- Pour batter into the greased baking dish. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
- For the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Mix in vanilla and heavy cream until desired consistency is achieved.
- Spread frosting over the cooled cake and top with fresh berries arranged decoratively.
