- 4 sirloin steaks (1-inch thick)
- Garlic salt and fresh cracked black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 yellow onions (sliced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ cup low sodium beef broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream or half and half
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat dry the steaks and season with garlic salt and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for about 3-4 minutes per side until cooked to your liking. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter, add sliced onions, and cook until caramelized (10-12 minutes). Stir in minced garlic and Italian seasoning.
- Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the bottom of the pan. Bring to a boil.
- Whisk in heavy cream, return steaks to skillet, and simmer for another 2 minutes until heated through.
