- 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers (rinsed)
- 8 cups water (divided)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of water, rinsed hibiscus flowers, and sugar to a boil over high heat.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Strain out the hibiscus flowers using a colander (save them for candied treats).
- Add the remaining 4 cups of water to the mixture.
- Stir well and chill in the refrigerator.
- Serve over ice for a refreshing drink.
