Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, spices, sea salt, and sugar.
- Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in milk and molasses until just combined.
- Shape dough into a circle on a baking sheet; brush with milk and sprinkle sugar on top.
- Cut into wedges and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Optional: Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
