- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup chopped toasted pecans
- 1 3/4 cups sweetened shredded coconut
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients and tools.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolk, and butter; simmer for 8–10 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, pecans, and coconut until well mixed.
- Spread the frosting evenly over cooled brownies and allow to cool completely before slicing.
