Ingredients
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons all-purpose seasoning (e.g., Spike Seasoning)
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Trim any visible fat from the chicken breasts and cut shallow slits across each breast for better marinade penetration.
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, seasoning blend, basil, oregano, onion powder, sage, and black pepper.
- Place the chicken in a Ziploc bag or container and pour in the marinade. Seal and let marinate in the fridge for at least 5-6 hours (overnight recommended).
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat after cleaning it.
- Drain the marinade and grill each chicken breast for about 3-4 minutes on one side until grill marks appear. Flip and cook for another 4-6 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165F (74C).
- Allow to rest before serving hot.
