- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 8 oz uncooked lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or beef until browned (about 5–7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent (about 3 minutes). Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, and water. Stir in Italian seasoning and sugar; season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Add broken lasagna noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 10–12 minutes).
- Meanwhile, combine ricotta cheese with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan in a bowl.
- Once noodles are cooked, stir in the cheese mixture until well combined.
- Serve hot, topped with remaining mozzarella and fresh basil.
