Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the milk until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- For the topping, mix together sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; sprinkle evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
