Ingredients
- 1 lb steak tips (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
- 10 oz rigatoni pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp butter (divided)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Fontina cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, warm olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter; sear steak until browned, then set aside.
- Boil salted water in a large pot; cook rigatoni until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
- In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and let simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted; season with salt, pepper, and more Cajun seasoning as desired.
- Toss rigatoni with the sauce and add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
- Fold in seared steak tips and serve hot.
