Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Press the pie pastry into a 9-inch deep dish pie pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Toss in sliced apples and coat well; pour into the crust.
- In another bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, oats, and cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apple mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 20-30 minutes; then cover with foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving with caramel ice cream sauce.
