- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 3 large apples (peeled and chopped)
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Stir in the peeled and chopped apples.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat to low and simmer until the apples are tender (about 10 minutes).
- Remove 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid and mix with cornstarch in a small bowl. Return this mixture to the saucepan.
- Cook on low heat while stirring constantly until thickened.
- Serve warm or chilled with cinnamon sugar chips.
