- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon or spice blend
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract for glaze
- 1 – 2 tablespoons apple cider (not reduced) for glaze
Instructions
- Reduce apple cider in a saucepan over medium-high heat until it reaches ¼ cup; set aside to cool.
- Melt unsalted butter in another saucepan over low heat until browned; cool at room temperature.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch, spices, and salt.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooled brown butter with sugars; add egg, reduced cider, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually stir in dry ingredients until just combined; chill the dough for enhanced flavor.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 9–11 minutes.
- Cool slightly, then brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.
